I work with mostly fine black folks. I'm talking about the ones that ain't on it. Yoooo...

Why do we have to take it to the extreme when we're unprofessional? shyt is pure abandon. I guess I'm ranting here.

I go to an open mic to tune up my act. I run several shows, so I don't always get to stretch out. I get to this venue that has no idea what they're doing. I also got other performers and audience coming. The venue telling me they cancelled because no one RSVP.

Thing is, no one EVER rsvp to a open mic. Hence, open. I hang out. Come showtime, they don't have a mic or a host and wondering if I can do it for free.

Free?

How am I supposed to support black business when this shyt be the norm? In my city I can name 3 cliques really doing it for black people. The rest be ready to exploit you like a mug. Somebody please offer some resolve.

Never worked with another black person. except during college but that was work study.

I'm not. But dont get me confused. I'm talmbout black people. Not concerned with other demographics atm. I'm not saying we the only ones, but I am talking about us right now.

What makes it unique is that when it's any other group, they be apologetic. When it's black people, somehow I'M AT FAULT for THEM being unprofessional. Like...I'm a c00n to even criticize. It's ass backwards sometimes. We need to stop giving janky people passes just because they black.
