Depends on the cliques. I have never seen much overt racism in the workplace, as most of my jobs have been ridiculously diverse, but I have seen folks turn into goon squads and whomever they didnt like would leave or be fired shortly thereafter.
It may depend on the demographics. I can tell you what I saw the most, stupid ass questions about things black people like

Ugh, basically the guy was an ahole. Plus, he thought he knew everything when I proved him wrong so many times. When he ridiculed me in front of another co-worker I left. Came back one final time and never showed again. The guy would ALWAYS make it about him and never was a team player. Plus he would say stuff like, "I've been doing this longer than you been alive." Also, he would say, "you don't know what that means." Codetalk for you're a n-gger and not on my level.

Only the 2-3 black ones catch it

People won't bully you in the office if you:
A. Call someone out in a calm business like tone as soon as the BS starts (Make sure it isn't inferred and is something agregious).
B. You have a network of people (good upper management relationships). If someone knows that you can go upstairs with stuff they'll leave you alone.
C. Maintain a business like relationship with people. A lot of people pretend to be your friend at work just so they can figure out your softpoints.
