This game shamelessly using the Left 4 Dead formula, they not even trying to hide it. And it works cause of it, fun as hell and worth the 40 dollars (35 if you get on PC)

Just like Left 4 Dead if you play offline you still have 3 offline bots following you until someone online jumps in

How good are the bots though?

The bots are either bad/okay or great. Right now, on offline play, the bots are level 0 and constantly one gets stuck and stops moving/shooting. They also currently don't heal nor use grenades.

Now if you play with online players and they disconnect, bots replace them and copy their skills/loadout and become pros

Game is definitely fun.
The obvious rip off of left for dead works incredibly well.
Really can't complain about this game.
Normal is way too easy though. Crank that difficulty up.
