Whatever the case may be - booking, injuries, locker room issues - what are some of worst burials when someone jumped ship...

Two that come to mind right away - Taz and DDP

The vingettes prior to the Rumble in 2000, debuting to a monster pop and defeating Kurt Angle who was undefeated ... then all the sudden he was a shytty commentator ... I get that he is a shrimp but damn, why the effort to produce the videos and beat Kurt Angle his first night on the job then? At the very least, parlay the Angle match into a nice lil program with Angle going over.

DDP, the stalker angle, debuting after other lesser WCW stars made appearances.. no need to detail that further. Even if he was a weirdo backstage, he coulda been used a lot better. He was a huge face in WCW, and was the biggest name of any of the guys in the Invasion angle.

Add on.

Shane Douglas went from ECW champ...to being herbed beyond words by the kliq and fired...only to head back to philly with his tail tucked between his legs.

That was a perfect storm for the burial. shytty gimmick, alienated himself from the kliq before he signed the contract by trashing their idol Flair, and being exposed on the mic when he couldn't curse.

In the attitude era, he mighta had a shot though.

Don't get mad at Stamford that Shane Douglas didn't have the goods.

For me, post-Invasion Raven was the biggest waste of talent.
