Salary is not a personality or character trait.

Someone expecting their partner to have similar income or means is fine but mainly these women start and stop at length on how he gotta be 6 figures.

  • In 1970, roughly 92% of Black women had been married at some point in their lives.
  • By 2012, that number had fallen to less than two-thirds.
  • In 2023, only 27% of Black women were currently married, compared to 47% of all women nationwide.
  • The percentage of Black women who have never been married more than doubled from a little over 20% in the 70s to nearly 48% today.
:francis: This is all u need to know

And only reason sisters are at 25% rate today because u still have the late silent generation and early born baby boomers who are wifed up

The only group of American women TODAY who talk about a man needs to make 6 figures in large numbers which is like they are looking for a business partner more than a husband

when have you ever heard black men in large numbers say they are looking for a woman making so and so amount of money
Fair point.

It’s funny how so many people (men and women equally) seem to readily admit that finances can be a strain in a relationship but at the same time, men almost never care or talk about how much money a woman makes or contributes.

There’s quite obviously an imbalance here.

She's not fine enough to be demanding 6 figures.

Also what is 6 figures? There's a huge living difference between $100k and $200k. Id be comfy on $100k, baller on $200k.
