Isn't Styles a couple years from retirement? Serious question, but has Lashley ever been booked as strongly as Styles was during the SD Live era? IIRC, AJ went over Cena clean at Summerslam and essentially big boyed the title from Ambrose after the Shield triple threat.

Lashley had some highs in WWE's b*stardized ECW brand -- which was objectively essentially a glorified Sunday Night Heat, hence none of the top talent wanting to work it. Lashley never got that kind of nod.
The winning the WWE title 2x don't count for nothing?

Don't we already know the answer? Lashley was benched in WWE. He said out of his own mouth that Triple H told him "we have nothing for you" so is it better to be a dominant attraction or told we have nothing for you

This is the answer.

He was positioned to be in the Main Event picture, especially with him having a featured role in that Mania where Vince got his head shaved, but I think they were too shy about pulling the trigger on a super push for whatever reason (they could have put him on Smackdown so he wouldn't have to be thrown into the InCenarator or interfere with an Orton push). Kinda crazy they didn't strap the rocket to his back given his background (collegiate wrestling champ + being an Army Vet).
