After seeing @WickedGames threads about the Drake stimulus package i got to thinking, would Drake and Nicki be as big as they are now if they werent promoted by the hottest rapper of the second half of the 2000s?

They're both talented artists but do you think they could have become two of the most popular rappers in the game without Wayne?

These type of questions are stupid, specially when you do a static analysis. You have to do a dynamic assessment of the situation. What would happen if J Prince hooked up with Jas Princes mother.

Drake might've signed to Roc-Nation instead of Cole or he might've became chief of staff to Canadas president. Who knows?He could've been bigger or smaller or just the same, same with Nicki.

But yeah, riding with the biggest artist out at that time really helped even if their music and personalities were completely different. The point is if Wayne didn't help, someone else might've helped or no one might've. They are not Tony Yayo, they are like Kanye they just needed to get put on in order to do their own thing. And Drake at least, might've not needed the help. It would just take longer time.

He got with Waynes manager, Gee Roberson and Hiphop Kyambo who were Jays main guys at Roc-a-fella back in the days that made the Ymcmb thing happen.
