No, not sparring. Footwork and how to throw punches etc yes, but I have big plans for his brain that can't afford to have him take punches to the head at such a young age.

I would want my kid doing Any heavy sparring like this until he like 15. Occasional light (and I mean LIGHT) sparring and tons of bag work are he needs for until then.

I know it's tough to see... but if ur putting ur kid in boxing, the earlier the better.

If ur worried about the head trauma, which is a legitimate thing to be worried about, dont put ur kids in combat sports or football.

I wouldn't put my kids in combat sports or football.

They gonna know how to throw their hands and grapple but they wont be competing or nothing like that

You need to be skilled in combat sports..i will teach my kid young.

Its the survival of the fittest here. Aint no bullying round these parts.

But sparring i will wait until he is about 10

The age isn't as bad as the skill difference, you can tell who started earlier, youngster got skills I give him that but also has bad habits and cockiness very bad to develop at a young age because muscle memory is a MF.i let my kids spar but it ain't but once in awhile, everything else is footwork, bag, conditioning
