Would the Chronic 2001 even be what it was without Scott Storch and Mel-Man?

These 2 cats were just as important to Dre's sound in 99' as Warren G, Colin Wolfe and Chris The Glove were to The Chronic in 92'. Now I'm not saying Dre couldn't still come up with some dope shyt without them, but these albums wouldn't be what they are without these guys.

Now I know Mel-Man ain't did much else since the Chronic 2001 days but he can always say he put in some great work on the Chronic 2001. :wow:

I love how people claim to have inside knowledge on the creation of albums. Any information we have is given by someone with a specific agenda. A lot of jealousy of top producers especially Kanye and Dre and people making claims they have absolutely zero ability to back up.
Check the liner notes breh.

Nope. He picked them for a reason. They are integral parts of the sound of that album. Dre put it all together, but what tuey developed together wouldn't be the same if Mel Man or Storch was missing from what they contributed too. Dre brought the best out of both.

It wouldn't be what it was without dre. storch and Mel man and def played a huge part. Dre directed and orchestrated them to what he wanted without that direction and the sounds he chose it def wouldn't be what it was. it wouldn't be what it is without any of em just with dre as the main force.

The way i see it, Dre could have found other collaborators and make a very dope album/maybe a classic with a different sound (he's done it a few times in his career). I'm not sure mel-man could have done it. Not taking away from them but it is what it is. Maybe storch could have if he was more focused.

He had no use for them to be honest. We wanted the OG team that we trust and know, not new people..Daz, Warren, D.O.C etc.
Infact 2001 was not a good project, based on the calibre of music he had previously released.

Yes.

For the fact he could have found another piano player and beat maker..

WIthout Dre's instruction, insight and vision..thats all they are..

:manny:

:heh:

Yea, like it's that easy. Storch himself is a very uniquely talented dude. You not JUST finding another piano player and beatmaker.
