Say you could pay a few thousand dollars to have scientists make u smarter, stonger, more disease resistant or have them edit your unborn child's DNA to give them a leg up would u do it?
What would u have them enhance or alter?

Yes. Those who do not will belong to a permanent underclass.

Understand that this is actually going on right now in the form of supplements, diet and health care. Many don't know because they're not privy to what's going on. People that you deal with daily, who often are in charge of telling you what to do are on a cocktail of amphetamines, steroids, and mood altering meds to give them the upper hand. Hell, there are people using artificial pheromones out here. Yes. These people have the money for such things. Poor people do not.

You can pretty much tell a person's social standing by looking at their teeth and the condition of their skin. You can infer their social position from their hair as well.

I see a lot of Black folks getting dusted by people who are using enhancements. Oh well.

I would say yes for me but no for my future kids. They can get it when they are adults if they want it. I want them to have freedom to choose their own paths.

Genetic editing is like playing God – and what’s wrong with that? | Johnjoe McFadden

This about the British scientists getting permission to alter embryos’ DNA. Warnings from opponents of genetic modification (GM) technology, who will warn that we are “playing God” with our genes. The genetic modification technology is something that can cure new born babies of disease that have not shown up yet. This Genetic modification technology would also help defend against birth defects in babies. The only downside of this new technology and ethical situation coming from these new developments is the fact that doctors would be somewhat playing god. Who are we tell parents what would be good DNA to keep and what DNA is bad. How could this new technology alter baby could this somehow harm the baby before they are born? This is an ethical dilemma that has me stuck on whether to agree with the doctors or listen to common since which tell me doctors should not be playing around with human DNA.

I remember this topic in our ethics class. Are you using the genetic alteration of the DNA to remove severe genetic mutations? Or to improve the life on what you see as the generic societal norm? I Wouldn't alter unless it was a severe illness.
