I moved to Memphis with nothing but a tv and some clothes. Got a nice job offer and had to make it happen to get my career started. As long as you arent moving to some spot like North Dakota you will benefit from leaving and getting some legit experience under your belt.

Depends on the location and the job. When my prior position was displaced, I could have move to Jacksonville, FL to keep my job but I was ready to do something else. Also, I didn't care for the city (too country for me). I would do it for the right location and opportunity :manny:.

She was moving around with you a lot. That's fuked up for a child
It may not have been "a lot" Perse, but growing up we only moved if she was offered more money some place else. That was probably like 3 or 4 times. I actually enjoyed starting over every few years and making new friends in new places.

Yep. Did it twice. 1st time 45 mins from home (not far at all) but it was a new city and state where I knew no one.
And then 7 hours away to where I am no.

I've come up with a saying- " Be scared to make a big move but don't let that fear stop you. "
That's my motto for life now.
