To my understanding, myostatin is something in your body that helps you regulate muscle growth and keep you from growing too much on your frame. When you lack that genetic trait your body just keeps on growing it well beyond normal.
You should check out some of those shaved cows and bulls that have that trait. They look crazy.

1st cat has some type of deficiency. I would adopt the second cat, and I don't do hairless cats.
