Kind of like Kickstarter, but without the middle man. We can all come together, donate towards a set goal, and donate it towards a deserving student(s) who is a member of the globalized majority. This is not something for the accolades or publicity, this is something that I feel is a way for us as an online community to make a difference in someone's life. 100% of proceeds going towards the scholarship, and a thread dedicated to highlighting all funds and certifying that the money is going to actual students. Everything on top of the table.
We talk about doing right, but I want us to put our money where our mouth is, and show that our commitment to improving our communities is more than just verbal. I will donate and be the first to pledge. Disclosure of who donated and how much will remain confidential, because this is being done to solely help others, and not to glorify ourselves.
