I was talking to my homegirl about this time my coworkers tried to hookup me up with this girl that sings on the side. And got me to thinking about what really turned me off about her and dreams.
Back in 2003 I was down in Norfolk, my boy introduced me to a dude that was from the south like me, big boy, could cook his azz off too. Anyway, dude had a wife and 2 small kids. He's wife was surprising cute, kinda like a knockoff Gabriella Union type. Anyway, she could sing somewhat. She met this weedhead/producer from New Jersey. Dude sold her dreams of becoming a star. Shortly afterwards she started leaving her family every weekend to go up to Jersey record. My boy was totally against it, but at the end of the day you cant stop someone from pursuing their dreams.
Later we find out she's messing around with dude and she cosigned on a Expedition with 22s on for dude. This back in 2003, that was major. My boy couldn't do nothing, I was really young and from Louisiana, Ive never seen such evil. She wouldve been dead where I'm from. So I just tired to tell him to find another chick, but she left him and moved away. We used to all be out eating me,my chick,other people from our crew at CiCis are wherever and my boy would just breakdown crying. Grown azz cornrowed, tatted up goon crying.
I guess that moment really woken me to how much a woman can hurt a man. It's been GMB and HOH every since.
