Honestly the part that bothers me is the fact his woman would let him do this. I mean, if dude has 6 consoles and 110 video games obviously it means a lot to him, it would bother me if I loved my lady and she wanted to sell off something like collectible items that means a lot to her to get me something I don't absolutely need. Now if it were money for life changing surgery I'd understand but to buy a ring nah.
My problem with marriage and long term relationships is the happiness quota. No matter what makes you happy in life a woman always wants to get in between it and to control it. Play video games for 20 hours a week she will say it's too much and want you to play less, play video games for 5 hours a week and she will still want you to play less. If there is something that really really makes you happy and it will only take 2 minutes out of the week to satisfy your happiness somehow someway a woman will find a way to make it problematic.
