Yeah I would. It's worth the risk, worse case just leave in 2 years.

I had an opportunity somewhat like this but it would have required me to leave missouri and go to California. Simply put I can’t afford California in any way outside of a few weekend trips. It would have been in the Sacramento area.
But the fact is I would have actually lost money moving there even though on paper the job was about 27K more (mostly due to the cost of living). But the 20K damn near makes up for the taxes.
I’d rather live on my current pay in missouri as opposed to California for now.

Every job changes has an element of risk, that's normal. The only way I wouldn't take it is if the change cancelled out any net benefits.

Depends…there is a lot more to jobs than simply just pay.
I look at insurance and retirement, paid time off, location, the position I’m moving into, chances of future promotion, etc.
You can quickly find yourself in a very shytty situation making just a little bit more money and be miserable. I look at everything.

Look at the total package not just pay
How's the PTO? 401k matching? Training budget? Is the new boss a dikk? A big one for me is WFH.
Even if you offering me 30k more than what I make now BUT I got to come into the office everyday?
