As a single dad of a teen, I’ve allowed my daughter to have sleepovers with one caveat: they stay on their side of the house and only come to mine for emergencies. They’re mostly kicking it in her room doing teen shyt. I understand why some folks won’t allow it and I personally wouldn’t but I’m one of those active dads that’s always at the PTA or hanging with the other parents when our kids meet up at places. I’m also the dad that wants to meet the parents of the kids my kid is hanging around

With men the numbers are different when they are adults but if they think about it a lot of stuff happened to them that shouldn’t have when they were kids.

He’s a single dad who doesn’t want to have his child miss out on an experience. What’s wrong with being emotionally in tune with your child? This kind of thing does harm in another way where children seek love and affection and emotional understanding from others because their parents are emotionally distant.

When my relative divorced he allowed his daughter to go to a sleepover or two in HS; none of her friends slept at their home. He’s a normal, healthy guy who is well respected but he knew the optics would still be weird. Bunch of young women in his house with no wife there? It’s odd.

No sleepovers at all outside of a couple of friends that we've known since the first Bush Administration.

Single dad doesn't matter. It could be a mom with a lecherous husband or a single mom with an "ain't shyt" boyfriend that drops in.....and women can abuse other women too.
