I've seen some posts on IG (Hoodestates) about some guys getting into the trucking business. Where they'll purchase a truck and hire a driver then get some contracts for the route.

I liked the numbers they were putting up and one guy is selling his class for around 400. I want to get involved in this in 2019 (among other things) but just not sure if paying a few hundred for this class is worth it.

For reference i ended up buying most of Brass Knuckle Finance ebooks and they're $5 each. Taught me all about real estate investing, stocks and starting a business. Easily one of my best purchases and it only cost me 20 bucks.

Would you drop the bread for this trucking class or just do more free research and make a move on your own?

Your question is probably not going to get the responses you want due to it be directed towards trucking. I wouldn't drop money on a trucking class nor would I do research on it cause I have no desire to get into trucking. I would and have spent that type of money and time on IT related courses/skills because that is where my interest lies. A better question is would we drop 400 bucks on a course related to our profession or one we have a desire to pursue? The answer to that question for me is yes.

The idea of owning a Trucking business does sound good. I'm not sure about paying for the class though because it seems pretty straight forward buy a truck, pay a driver, a mechanic, fuel , and insurance. The hardest part would probably be finding the contracts. The course may be worth it if they have any inside information on obtaining contracts.

It’s all about dispatch once you have the equipment.

Today it’s possible to learn a lot from dispatching your own loads from load boards.

Ive thought about buying a truck and trailer and “leasing” it out to a trucking company

I heard the biggest thing in your own trucking business is the price of the insurance to keep your shyt legit... I was looking into starting a company as well in this.

Took the course, my brother paid for it and shot it to me. Currently working on getting my truck on the road.

Thinking of leasing a couple of straight trucks and getting drivers for local runs. Anyone do this? Pros and cons?
