if you had the skill to compete with the top guys would you take that risk?

there's a 17-year old MK player named sonicfox that just won $60,000 at an MKX tournament, and now EVO is closing in (and i'm not sure how big the prize pool is) and dude could potentially win over $100,000 is less than a month :whew: not bad for playing videogames for a living

not gonna lie that makes me kinda salty :patrice:

fukk my job breh:mjcry:

Yes, I'd switch places with someone like Chris Smoove in a heartbeat.
his wife is beautiful :ohlawd:

I would consider twitch streaming on the daily but some of these dudes have to play video games for like 9 hours straight a day. I can only play video games for like 3 hours in a row at most. I have no idea how they do it.

Stupid question. Of course. :childplease:

:comeon: pro gaming is a fickle as hell business. there's no guaranteed money. just because you're good at a game doesn't mean you'll win every (or any) tournaments. its a big risk to quit a stable job just to game professionally, especially if you have a wife & kids. so no, its not a stupid question :rudy:

Well even if you're good you're not gonna quit your job until you get some big Ws (with checks) under your belt. Once you're established then fukka 9-5.

and there ain't no guarantee you'll win anything after that breh :rudy:

I could see a lot of frustration setting in after losing a few touneys in a row and making nothing
