This would lead to discussions of reward systems and how they influence that very choice. That 98%-30%-12%-2% decline would seem to be directly tied to time constraints and the productivity/profit incentive under which almost all schooling is implemented.

So: get it right and get paid so you can buy more spiffy designer can openers, or explore the rabbit hole to see how many ways the problem can be solved?
