That financial struggle has most people not focused on spirituality though
Some would say thats its entire end game. If the dog chases its tail all day long it never stops to pause and reflect who' s selling the woof tickets its busy buying.

A lot of people, read most of the very successful type, are spiritually broken but aren't fully aware of it. This "away from" energy is what drives them to climb to the mountain top, hoping that when they arrive they will finally feel whole and all of their problems/self loathing/inner aversion/emptiness will be gone.
Most of the time they find out that isn't the case so then they indulge in various self destructive patterns as a way of easing the pain they've known all along. Look at your "stars" you'll see this writ large as its what runs under the shell game of fame but it extends to all fields and goals fueled by the desire for money/power/status.
Ignorance of the true meaning of spirituality is one of the root causes with what is so wrong with modern man. Not everyone is broken, most are just cracked but out of the 8 billion of so on the planet you won't find one adult who is intact.
