Yeah one fluke season don't make AI better than TMac. Not too mention that Philly team is better than anything Mac played with in Orlando
AI never came close to repeating that 2001 Finals trip again. If not for the league and refs they would've lost to Milwaukee that year anyway
Iunno I think that has to factor in. And even you throw that out you can measure the fact that
on 3 different occasions AI came from behind to
win a playoff series
on 3 different occasions Tmac came from ahead to
lose a playoff series
Tmac always played great and his numbers were gaudy. But he never came up big in the tight pressure situations. Didn't show the killer instinct that he needed to have to step on those teams necks.
AI on the other hand wasn't efficient (his big scoring games were super efficient though) but he always came up big in the big moments. His game 7 against the Bucks ranks among the greatest elimination games ever because he came out and stepped on their necks and never let up.
