Would you still be able to watch your favorite animated show if the main character's voice changed?

This thread was thought of because of how Adult Swim ruined Squidbillies by changing the main character's voice actor. That voice actor was "cancelled". There are still a few chuckles for sure, but as soon as the main character opens his mouth to speak, you are jarringly reminded: "This ain't it.".

Tracy Morgan took over the lead role. Most of the show's fans agree that it's nothing personal against Tracy Morgan, but his voice just doesn't fit the character at all.

Anyway, would you be able to look past it, or would it make you consider abandoning your favorite show?

You are right, but that was a little bit different, no? Wasn't his voice changed accompanied with a whole new different animation style/character design as well?

Nope. That Beast Wars miniseries is downright unwatchable cause they didn't even TRY to make the characters sound like their old voices.

Only way I was able to get through it was to create a fictional backstory in my mind that due to time travel shenanigans, the transformers voice boxes were altered in this alternate universe.

Squidbillies was one of my favorite shows, but after reading what Unknown Hinson posted there's no way I would ever support that show again. He basically called Dolly Parton a ni$$er lover and a race traitor. I could still watch Batman TAS since Mark Hamill was the star imo.

He still is working on Batman related animated projects in 2021, so I assume he himself believes that he wants to work more

I still remember Frankie Munoz used to voice one of the characters in Fairly Oddparents and when his voice changed from puberty they replaced him.

I hated that shyt and it made since as to why they use female voice actors for child characters.
