Would you work 12 pm to 9 pm? Instead of 8 to 5

:patrice: . Thinking of doing it ..mainly in 6 months, I would like to leave my job so I wouldn't have to work around my job for interviews.

Nah, it kills your social life and your opportunities to work a second job or have a side business.

I've done it for years, before they started rotating our shifts.

The good thing is that you get to sleep late or go to the gym before work. You also never get stuck in traffic

7-4 is the GOAT shift

12-9 is kinda drastic. I'm guess it's only 4 days? It does give you time to hit the gym, good a good breakfast and do other errands, but you'd have to get up early to do those. Your social activities will be stuck on nights, but you'd still have 3 days off for social things.

If it was my choice I'd do 7 - 5.

I'm a morning person. I work 6/6:30ish to 3/3:30ish

If I "work through lunch" by just eating at my desk then I bounce around 2/2:30ish

:blessed:

Feels like I have the whole day. No way in hell I'd work 12-9. Miss your entire day plus you can't really do anything before work either.

Same job, manager brought it up to me. I kinda want to do it. Hit the gym in the morning, potential contract work for more income and do day time activities.

This.. you can get a lot done between 6am and 11am..

Then if you work a traditional shift, you'll be in traffic/commute with everyone else..

No. 12-9 kills your entire day. 7-3 is best but 8-5 aint bad. Still enough evening left to enjoy yourself when you get off. 9pm let out will zap your day more than you realize.
Not really. i worked 2 to 10pm once. When you get off work, you realize you party all night like you don't have a curfew because you don't have to be up until 2pm the next day anyways. So i'd get off at 10pm shower and change clothes at work, then i was at the bar or at the club until 3am.
Felt like alot more freedom honestly.
Versus 8 to 5 like i do now. I get off with plenty of day left, but i still have to make sure i sleep by 11 or else i will be late to work the next morning.
