It was wise in one sense, they had to get Randy cheered, i think they knew he would get a lukewarm reaction winning, so have it down to Roman and Randy and you`re guaranteed to get the crowd to cheer for Randy.
I also believe they're utilizing Roman hate in other ways, IE Braun coming into the title match to destroy Roman for KO to win. They know Bruan killing Roman will get him over with the fans, so that was another wise way of using Roman

Yeah, they knew he was going to get booed out the building and it was clearly to get Randy that positive reaction when he won
The casual audience continues to drop, but the hard core audience who are all complaining and making these videos are the ones that have never change the channel

The matches are decent enough, but they've done so much damage to the character at this point that they might as well start over.
They've given themselves the perfect out - have him go HAM on Taker after their match at Mania, the biggest concievable heel turn he could have. The crowd aready boos him. What have they got to lose (other than merch checks and Make A Wish publicity)?
But it won't happen, so....
They completely ruined him by tryna force feed him down our throats
I feel like they're just intentionally trolling at this point, no way they're that oblivious
If he's indeed facing Taker you can almost guarantee that they'll turn him heel. I genuinely think that's why they had him come out at #30 too, they knew folks would be pissed and they try to get him in a position where people won't cheer if he turns heel (see Neville and Ziggler).
