These cows were born to die that is the most fukked up thing that can happen to anything. How they treat the animal is irrelevant because in the end they are going to kill it anyway.
You want to show respect to the animal let it out in the wild and hunt it down. When they are breed to be slaughtered any other form of respect is a sick joke.

I don't think we should be slaughtering them at all, especially for consumption. However, there are slaughterhouses who do not resort to "abuse" before killing them. That may not make sense to you, but it does to some and there are groups who lobby and fight for the humane conditions of these slaughterhouses. So, it is not irrelevant that the animal is lingering in its own feces, and being tortured for fun. Granted, I understand that they are going to be "killed anyway" but that should be the extent of it.
