Hence my earlier response.

I remember talking to people about this situation in college and people really just don't give a shyt basically. Prisoners here aren't people, they don't deserve to be rehabilitated, and basically no one talks about them. I was also taken aback during the segment when i thought about how jovially United States media jokes about the rape/sexual assault of prisoners. It's kind of appalling, honestly.

life is.. getting the true news from a comedy show
I trust these cats to not lie to me (Stewart, Colbert, Oliver)
I flip between the big news channels, then I go to Comedy Central to form an educated opinion about the days issues.
kinda sad when u think about it

Especially Carlin and Bill Hicks. Most of their stuff wasn't even comedy, it was like some warped Greek philosophical performance.
