I wouldn’t go that far, it’s a better composition than the original.
But it’s definitely missing the energy of the first. This is way more modern and ahead of its time tho.
Wouldn’t be surprised if I see a Doja Cat or Billie bite off this for their next album
Is it weird that I refuse to listen to anything that came out after he died bc I feel like he had reasons for not releasing music or the new music might not have met his approval coming from someone else. He had so much control over his music I feel like it's just not complete without his stamp of approval
