It kinda makes sense now actually. He is struggling for money and cant afford his legal fees to fight whatever case his ex is bringing against him and the child support is probably set way too high. Fast and Furious Franchise is all he got at the moment. The Rock doing the spin off pushed back the next movie thus delaying his pay day. Not the Rocks fault but I can see why he is mad.
