Strangely, Scott Steiner, of all people, had the best explanation on why he didn't want to go in (besides the fact that he hates everyone in the WWE): It's your name on a website. You would think that WWE would shell out some money to buy some land or a building and make one already. I've seen those videos where they toured the warehouse where they keep old set props and costumes, etc. and it's depressing seeing all of that in a warehouse collecting dust. Put some of that on there on display for good use.

EDIT - But nah. We gotta waste some money on the XFL. [/WWE logic]

Yeah it's wild. You think at worst then would have even some real estate at HQ dedicated to this. Even a broom closet. Anything. :pachaha:

This right here.

That warehouse and land is huge, if Vince was smart enough he'd see how much money he's waisting not turning it into a hof/museum like all the major sports do.

When did the Steiner get offered a legends deal and HoF, I feel like WWE would be more hesitant to offer him yet.

I can see why someone would turn it down. You gotta sign a Legends deal to go along with it, and give them a cut of any bookings you get while under the deal. So, you get a little surge in bookings for conventions and shyt, but have to accept that Vince and co have a heated interest in what you do now. If you're someone like Steiner who's still getting steady bookings without them, it doesn't really make sense to do it right now.

Vince is gonna go to the grave trying to make it big in any field outside of pro wrestling and isn’t gonna get it at any point going forward. It’s the one thing he’s done well in, but he hates that it’s where he did well, so he tries to make the show as bad as possible and to branch off, only to fail over and over. He’s never going to stop this pattern either. He’s made that much clear :manny: :francis:

Where do people get this from...

That's like saying Russell Simmons hates hip-hop music so that's why he did TV and clothes, or Berry Gordy hated R&B so he tried movies...

Vince just isn't good with these other ventures, that's all. It's been obvious from the get-go that he didn't just wanna be a 'wrestling promoter', you can tell that just from all the other stuff he was doing with the WWF (MTV, toys, cartoons, etc)... now this shyt with football, bodybuilding (which was the most ridiculous), etc- none of it is his forte but I don't get why people assume it's because he "hates wrestling". Most successful people in entertainment (on the business side) don't just do that one thing if there's other shyt they're interested in.

“Hey Vince, it’s Ted Turner on the phone. Just wanted to let you know I’ve gotten into the wrestling business too.”

“We’re in separate businesses because I’m in the entertainment business.”

Vince himself has spoken about saying that to Turner.
