fukk that, WWF had Action Zone, Super Astros and some other shyt, too.

action zone had a spark when it started. same with livewire. ESPECIALLY live-wire.

they dropped the ball on both shows.

yep... depends on what timeframe tho'

Because late-80s/early-90s, it was Superstars as the main show with Vince & Jesse (and later, Vince w/ Piper, Savage, Perfect, etc), and then Challenge was the b-show with the team of Gorilla & Brain. All the main storylines would kick off on SuperStars, then some of the midcard or tag feuds would start on Challenge. NOTHING happened on Spotlight :heh: All you'd get on there was Sean Mooney and Alfred Hayes calling matches like Paul Roma vs Conquistador #2 nshyt...

class of '91.

jesse ventura was gone when i got on.

back then, i was green so i didnt peep the whole a-show/b-show thing in real-time. plus, FOX used to air challenge & superstars back-to-back, up here at least. but i did peep how spotlight was lower on the totem pole. didnt air on the same station either. shoot, it was approaching its last legs when i started watching.

low-key, sean mooney & alfred hayes were my favorite wwf team. it always came off like the wwf just let them do what they wanted. they used to be laid-back, rambling off-topic and all types of chit. best of all, they were both tweeners. they basically birthed the bitter "babyface" announcers like josh matthews.
