Quoted for truthSSDs are the best thing now. i want the prices for them to drop
also, next time you buying a computer or a laptop, avoid apple products.
If you want speed and space at a good price..you could go with an sshd. It's a hybrid ssd that is slightly slower in read and write speed but it's much cheaper so you don't have to overpay. Ssd is great but that shyt is way too expensive. And your answer your question..yes.thanks breh, it's like hearing that 1 fukn TB just turned me on lol like I just could imagine all the shyt I could store. do you think 500 gb ssd would suffice for omnisphere 2 and kontact
A 2012 MBP is still a decent machine if you install an SSD and 8-16GB RAMThe next computer I get is going to be a major upgrade. I'm still holding on to this 2012 MBP.
What you expect? You brought a 6yr old computer brehI just purchased a late model 2011-2012 macbook refurbished , everything is in lovely working order even the batter is decent but..ITS SLOW AF...even on the BOOT UP it's slower than ever, and barely has any stock software, shyt is a complete turn off because I was going to use it for my maschine production but now I'm like
I'm no computer savvy guy but what can I do to enhance my experience, because it's subpar AF. I spent too much money
You think 2017 software gone run smooth on that old shyt?It has 8 GB of RAM and a dual core i7.A 2012 MBP is still a decent machine if you install an SSD and 8-16GB RAM
I don't remember what gen cpus are in there, but I think they are 3rd gen. If that's the case you might as well wait for the cannonlake macs.It has 8 GB of RAM and a dual core i7.
It still runs okay. It tends to have issues with Office, but i suspect that's because i don't have an SSD...hopefully I can upgrade soon.

shyt makes no fukn sense. bought the 500 ssd, used carbon clone and a sata adapter I had because the fukn usb drives I bought either couldn't be partitioned because of the size, yea apparently if your usb drive is over 8 gigs, you can't use it to boot a OS. nonetheless I use my sata adapter and the carbon clone shyt works like magic. now the installation smfh...i open up the back and lone and behold the bracket which old's the HDD, is built in with the fukn drive so now I was forced to just stick the ssd(now cloned with OS el captain) inside no bracket or nothing...
so I seal it, screw it up and then the computer for some odd reason takes a while to come on...then I see the Apple sign and it boots up pretty fast...so u guys could guess I was happy af.
now I'm installing all my vst from my maschine, and everything is flowing lovely...then all of a sudden shyt just started getting slow...i had to force quit alot of shyt....things started taking forever to load...so I'm like wtd happened mane.
I feel so fukn defeated right now, and I know if i take it to geek squad they're gonna try to bang me in the head smfh. I'm like why tf is this computer putting me through so much hell.
then I decide to restart it...shyt literally took 10 minutes to restart
Fukk Geek squad breh that shyt is a rip....
After you cloned the drive to the ssd did you test it before swapping drives? While connected go into system preferences and select the ssd as the startup disk. Then restart. You could also hold option down when you hear the startup chime, it'll show you connected drives to boot into. Select the ssd and make sure it's good to go.
when you did the CCC you cloned the hdd to the ssd, then you swapped the drive?
When you power it on, hold option when you hear the startup chime. It should show the ssd now to boot into.
After you're booted, go to the app store and get blackmagic speedtest to test the read/write of the ssd. You should be around 400 mbps

update: so I go to geek squad and dude tells me that basically I fukked up by upgrading to el captain when the processor is meant for OS Sierra....
so I come home...unscrew the mac...erase the ssd, and put it back in the mac...then I use a safe boot and my internet to install from the motherboard which was OS lion....boom..4 hours later...then the shyt runs SLOW, won't even let me download a speed test.
so I download OS sierra...3 hours later...shyt works wonderfully...im able to use the blackmajic app and was getting read and writes of 480 for both. now the bullshyt.
I have a maschine..and we all know maschine comes with hella plug ins n vsts...28 to be exact ranging from 100 mb to 5 gigs. so I individually download them....starring with the lowest first...workiing my way up....
then I get to the 1.3 gig and up files and it's downloading at a steady pace but I notice it's not as fast....then finally it becomes slow, and I get the rainbow spin wheel of death smfh. so I force quit.
do a read/write test. and and internet speed test... before the installs my read and write was 480 a piece...and my internet speed was 170 mbps
after the installs. read and write was 51/41 and internet speed was 13 fukn gigs download....man WTF happened.
I still have hella space, this shyt shouldn't be doing this. I think I'll insert the SsD disk it came with and see does it have a optimizer in the software to prevent shyt like this from Happening
