Only an organization as strong as the Heat with leadership like Riley and Spoelstra lose a player like LBJ and not have to go into full rebuilding stage. Not to mention Wade and Bosh being gone now too. That would have crippled most teams for years (look at the Bulls since Jordan left) but the Heat regroup and still put a playoff caliber team out there.

they have had some good luck as opposed to some other teams like Philly and such...who will eventually get it together. they were the ones to get Whiteside when he was breaking out, and they found a decent player in Tyler Johnson. James Johnson means more to teams than people think. Should still be in Toronto really. Waiters is somewhere he belongs and fits. All the Heat players are just comfortable in their roles. They took some flack for signing Dragic, but he has proved solid.

lastly, Spoelstra has always been unfairly judged for his coaching ability. people only think of him as the Heat's video coordinator
dude was a starting PG in college for 4 years and had prior asst coaching experience overseas. I think people just thought of him as one of Pat's flunkies.
