I just rewatched Mercedes vs Britt again.
Mercedes did the best she could to deliver a decent match. It wasn’t one of her best performances but she kept it from falling apart due to her experience. Go back and watch.
I noticed when Mercedes came out with her royal entrance…Britt looked star strucked/nervous. AEW created this illusion that she was this good wrestler that can work but honestly Britt was always mid and it showed on the biggest stage.
She would be better off being a manager or a commentator for the women’s division because her mic skills are A-1.
It was also questionable to place them right after MJF/Ospreay’s match where the crowd needed oxygen tanks to breathe afterwards. I don’t think the crowd would’ve been into it no matter the placement on the card.

Yeah it was wack cause of Britt Baker. Mercedes was trying to make it gel but Britt didn’t seem interested in helping. Legit never seen a DMD good match. Good to see now even the AEW diehards realize how garbage she is in the ring.

it was more boring than it was bad, followed a match that sucked the energy out of the crowd. they didn't seem to have chemistry, Britt Baker isn't that good of a babyface so her fighting from underneath is boring.
It wasn't bad. Just wasn't special. There was a standing ovation after the power slam top rope counter..dueling chants of CEO and DMD later in the match.
