……..10 years later Imma have to repeat myself, Math is not it man, soiled relationships bad business or not they HAD elite producers…Math is only good for 1 beat on a project, when you have several duds its not because fans wont grow with your growth its because the shyt is just weak

... that was cemented in 03 when Math dropped his solo . . . shyt was mad repetitive with quantized percussion and random "soul" samples . . only track that stood the test of time for me was Hav Mercy and that was more for Killa Sin verses than the production . ..

i was one of the few fans over the years who championed Math's production, still think the Problem is a dope album with a ton of cool beats. hes the anchor of Beneath the Surface which i still defend 25 years later. but theres nothing on here that would make his 'must listen' list

I was about to check this out because i’m down for anything Wu related but is it true its mostly reused verses? That would be hella disappointing…
It is, but when you think how much output the Wu have then unless you have a shyt hot memory or are a massive Wu fan then you won’t notice. I didn’t and thought it was a great project.

Breh...:dead:

I think you hit the nail on the head of why I can never fukk with these projects after the first listen.

The production on these joints sound like they come straight out of a cheesy comic book. :heh:

The "soul" Math is trying to imitate comes in the form of someone wailing like a banshee for no reason in the middle of the beat :francis:
This is exactly it bruhs... They sound like carecatures of the wu tang sound.

Corny new York detective movie beats.

What happened to the haunting and eerie sounds laced over soulful loops and grimey drums.

The beats are so fukking loopy too... You heard 5 seconds of the beat and uve heard it all... Nothing about it is catchy or melodic or soulful
