As noted, longtime TNA veterans Bobby Roode and Eric Young were granted their release from the promotion recently and are now free agents who are able to work anywhere they would like.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer, WWE has been in contact with both Roode and Young since their TNA departures. WWE reportedly spoke with both men through an intermediary.

Surprisingly enough, WWE is said to be more interested in Young than Roode, as they feel Young can play any type of character that they want him to.
Damn can't believen they like EY better, they lost Santino I guess.

EY is a great utility man breh. He's a good wrestler who's comfortable on the mic. He's been believable in almost every role TNA has given him. He's had a couple of shows on Animal Planet. They can definitely find a place for him.

He'd definitely be a good fit for the Wyatt Family. Especially since they've lost the only guy in the stable who would keep their matches entertaining.

EY woulda been perfect in the 90s...i still think he could do his thing now

they should book him initially just as an annoying Owen Hart type character...have him be a whiny heel who always feels like he's been overlooked...

then transition him to that new age Funkasaurus role :wow:

I wouldn't be surprised to see Roode back in TNA before the summer honestly.
EY, though, will likely be signed. he is a versatile performer plus he has shown an ability to get non-wrestling hosting gigs (even if they are just NatGeo and Animal Planet shows) which probably makes him even more desirable to WWE.

EY actually makes more sense for WWE at this point, he can get just about any goofy gimmick over.

And there were cats who swore blind that the E would have nothing to do with them.

Bobby is a great heel.

Vince might force EY to get hair plugs and plastic surgery and turn him into the fake Daniel Bryan on some
