WWE Network Programming Update

The WWE Network will only have about 1.5% of WWE's entire video library upon launch. :why: WrestlingObserver.com is reporting that very little territorial footage will be made available to subscribers, and while new content will be added regularly, WWE will also take down content from time to time. :beli:

If this is true, I'm not ordering this thing (and I REALLY :noah: want to) until all this is sorted it or clarified.

The 1.500 hours of footage at launch that they announced IS 1.5% of their library, so we already knew that...Meltzer doing simple math and people already panicking :dead:

And if people demand more territory footage, they will add it. Fact it, as much as watching a random Mid South TV episode at any time would be piff, it wont make or break the purchase of the Network. And I'm pretty sure they will keep classic matches.

LOL at not buying it because of that report. Like you'll have the time to watch all that shyt anyway:laff:

at the main presser in Vegas, they said 100,000+ hours of content.

I don't see why they just don't do what they say they're gonna do right off the bat

No. At the main presser they said they had over 100,000 hours of footage in their library. They announced that at launch they would have over 1,500 hours of material to show that included every PPV (from WWE, WCW and ECW), RAWs, SDs, ECW Hardcore TV AND their Home Video/DVDs library.

They never said they would include their entire video library right of the bat, and that's good, it would be moronic to put all that shyt since day 1. It was also pretty clear from the presser that the Attitude Era was the driving force of the network, much more than the 80's and 70's.

In all fairness, isn't the very identity of the Network a complete departure from what they were intending to begin with? I guess I'mma be understanding, but damn I was hoping on Day 1 FEASTING :heh:

But dont you think that every PPV from all 3 companies is MORE than 1,500 hours????

....and they've been misleading with the archived RAW and SD mentions, but I don't think they're gonna be whole episodes of each. And if it is, THAT combined with the PPV's would be well beyond 1,500 hours. Hell there's enough RAW footage alone to more than 1,500 hours.

LMAO.. breh, calm down. They never said the entire library would be available at launch. They only discussed the PPVs which is every single one of them (WWE, WCW, ECW..).

You should be eating for a while off that alone.. It makes up 1.5% because they actually OWN 100,000 hours of wrestling from all different promotions/territories. They'll be putting up more content as time goes by but they are also in the process of converting this shyt to HD. It takes time.

If $10 a LIVE PPV and 300+ old school PPVs is not something you want to be a part of..then.. what can be said? Don't buy it.. But also don't act like we're getting screwed. We eatin :ohlawd:

They are gonna show what they announced they were gonna show on day 1 (well, you'll probably wont be able to watch a random RAW episode from 1995 but is that really important?). What else were you expecting breh? :why:

Oh, of course. No way they are gonna show every episode of RAW and SD!. And you gotta also add their Home Video/DVD archive. Which I also don't think will be completely available at launch either. But all in all, you have more than enough to spend time for 6-10 weeks, before they start adding more stuff.

I really don't see anything wrong with this approach.

Exactly. If WWE was dumb enough to put, say, 40% of their library at launch it would be a cluster fukk. The browse and search function would probably be slow as fukk and people wouldn't even now were to start or what to watch with all that footage. By October of this year there wouldn't even be more exiting stuff to put on the network either.

Instead, by August (when the 1st 6 month commitment ends) I guarantee they will be upping tons of PIFF that will leave fans :krs: :gladbron: and ready to for another 6 month cycle.

Why would they? Then people would blow through everything and be like I'm bored of it.

If they release new shyt every month, then it keeps people interested in it.

It's real simple. I mean every PPV ever and live ones every month should keep you going for $10 :comeon:

You would still need to watch WWE Network like 5 hours a day to really take advantage of their library. And that's just insane
