What Happened To Dolph?
There's been much speculation and debate as to why Dolph's push has seemingly been derailed at the moment. The Wrestling Observer is reporting it's simply a result of officials not believing Dolph will ever be a guy who can draw money.

RVD's Contract Status
Conflicting reports have surfaced regarding Rob Van Dam's actual contract status and what it includes. PWInsider reported last week that RVD would work in 90-day blocks, meaning he'd work 90 days and then take 90 days off. The Wrestling Observer is now saying that RVD's burial on Raw this week was a reaction to him not signing a new contract yet.

The Observer notes that RVD's contract is up on October 1st, although he's expected to work at least a week past that date.

How much longer will the big guy be around?

- During his recent appearance on the Jay Mohr Podcast, Mark Henry confirmed that he has re-signed with WWE for another three years. Henry also confirmed that he received a raise, but he did not get into specifics.

Kharma on WWE Return
Former WWE and TNA superstar Kharma said on the Future Endeavors podcast that a WWE return could be near. She stated that "all parties" were in "gorilla", referring to the "gorilla position" where wrestlers stand right before coming out to the ring. This would indicate that she's been talking with WWE about a return, at the very least, and it even seems to hint that they may be close to an agreement.

Joey Mercury Update
We reported last week that Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore is one of the new trainers for WWE developmental. He apparently took Joey Mercury's old position as Mercury will now be moving into a producer position with the main roster.

Mark probably wont make it those whole three years and will probably transition to a backstage role in a year or two. That's why it's imperative for him to get the WWE title at least once before he retires. Beating Cena would have been the perfect time but of course we knew they weren't gonna do that. But a short run for a couple of weeks or a month is something they could easily do for the guy who has been in the company damn near 20 years.
