In this era of ppl consuming a plethora of content on platforms like Netflix, Prime, Hulu, YouTube Premium etc., WWE has clearly jumped on the same wave of, "just create content"....doesn't have to be GOOD content, but just content. Every Netflix show isn't great, some are bad...same with Prime, hulu, and Youtube shows. Just get something out there. People will watch whatever it is, just to have something to watch.

And just like many Netflix etc subscribers are younger people, many of them have very little to compare anything to as to say, "hey, remember when TV (in this case, wrestling) was great?" So they just watch...and may even think the show/product is great. :scust:

That's why the product now is just the same rehash trudging along for 3 boring hours every monday. They'll ramp it up around WM for sure, and Summer Slam maybe. But that's where we are now with WWE.

Just put the characters on TV, don't worry too much about whether the storylines/writing are good or not. Ratings don't matter much if at all in this era.

That's why it doesn't even matter that we haven't seen the world title on RAW in months. Fans are being trained to accept that titles don't really matter anymore either....just get the content on TV.

I don't think they will ramp up anything for SummerSlam this year. The rumor is another Reigns/Lesnar match, that is not going to sell shyt :russ:

I'd be surprised to see anything interesting happen until maybe January.

Been saying it for a while, doesn't matter what happens during those 3 hour raws as long as they can put up a 90 second youtube video with a clickbait title on every sports website

Is this a long term sustainable business model though? They don’t even try to put out an interesting show. That means they aren’t bringing in new customers for more than a week or two at once.

Is it sustainable?

Well, they're allegedly posting record profits every quarter, half fiscal yr these days.

How, I don't know.

But if those things are happening, then they arent gonna change anything.

Vince is like, "Its TV time damnit, turn the cameras on and put something(anything) on the screen for 3 hrs."

Its like i heard this musician say, "you want a song rt now? I'll write you a song. It'll sound like a song, have a chorus, verses etc. But is it gonna be any good?"

For the past 10-12 years all of Vince's efforts have been focused on having enough revenue streams that would let him not depend on any wrestler, nor the high and lows of traditional wrestling business. At this point, he's created a system that relies as little as possible on the quality of his product. It's been more than a decade now, so we can't say it's not sustainable, specially after landing two MONSTER deals that will carry the company for 5 more years, even if the XFL bleeds money from day 1.

Thats not true. Its sustainable but ony because money is getting pumped into it. They still habe fans that watch but its been cut in HALF in the past decade amd continues to decline. Your 1:10 ratio implies that they still have all of the interest they used to and that hasnt been true in almost two decades

Might as well just make an off-season with the season kicking off in fall with survivor series until wrestlemania.

Then maybe have a Summerslam event as a one off
