WCW in 1998 wasn’t terrible but there was a drop off once Sting won the title. Same thing with the WWE once Cawdy won the title.

Both companies have a ton of talent signed but the people booking the shows have underwhelmed.

WWE has the better roster right now but I think AEW has had better storylines/buildup to shows this year.

Cenas tried but the heel turn just hasn't been good. The Rollins stable is fine but nothing classic. They've done well with Jacob Fatu.

What AEW got to do with this? I thought this was a WWE only thread. :dead:

Fraudsley literally added more talent to the Bloodline 2.0 and still couldn’t keep shyt interesting after Survivor Series 2024.

I will say giving Solo the US belt was a nice change, but let’s see how the storyline is weeks from now.

A blind quadraplegic with a paint brush could paint something more interesting than Hunter Heil Hitler can book with his random new Polynesian toys.

Talent scout in 2036: I found an indie guy. I didn’t think he was any good, and he’s a bit on the short side, but he could have potential with a few years of seasoning in NXT. And I know you like people who can pass as Samoan…

HHH: All you had to do was say you found a Samoan. Stop wasting my time, do you realize I work 8 hours a day? This company is working me to death! Here’s a contract offer. Tell him he’ll be named Shorta Tonga and be the newest member of Bloodline 15.0. Yep that’s right straight to the main roster pal! God damn this shyt is going to win me Booker of the Year again surely, suck on that Tiny Khan :myman:

I can see the comparison with the different Bloodline sets but this might be worse because none of the groups are as over as nWo Wolfpac was

Hogan kept Hoganing and they booked themselves in a corner with Goldberg due to the streak being so big.

Wolfpac vs Black and White all spring and summer and then Wolfpac goes over in Wargames, Hogan goes away for a year and comes back red and yellow would be best. But getting Hogan to agree to that wouldve been very hard. You'd have to get a big movie part set up for him probably to do it.

Lynch/Lyra/Bayley still feels like a boring story.
Partly because Lynch, and to a degree Bayley, are kinda stale.
Seth’s stable is cool but it’s not clear at all where it’s going. Are they trying to takeover or are they just beefing with random people?
Judgment Day story still going well, you can tell they are waiting for Liv to heal.
Naomi/Jade = Peter Griffin and that Chicken.

Just feels like there could be more stories. Maybe things are developing slowly?

how do u fumble a john cena heel turn?? :why::why:

Cena turning heel was 10 years too late. He's leaving everyone knows he's leaving and has limited dates. Fans are like lets get this over with already. :ld: The only real payoff is who does he put over in his last match/loss.

Truth. Just like the NWO, it was fantastic at its height but they didn't consider what would happen to the product in its absence :francis:

It was always going to come crashing down the other side of the mountain after the peak had hit. Happened with Avengers/Marvel happened with season 4 of the Wire etc. Its no different to an electric co-main event killing the crowd for the main.

Even if the booking was different and everyones favourites got their shine and titles doesn't mean that it would of continued on the success of the Bloodline.

Could make a case that WWE peaked the moment TKO took over/signed the Netflix deal and the decline had already began but its hard to notice because the product was still doing well and was enjoyable for most.

They wanted to still sell Cena farewell merch. Cena needed to fully change his entire presentation, look, theme, and everything for it to work. It was half assed in place of money unfortunately
