It wouldn't have worked with Sting because he wasn't a former WWF guy. It was Hogan or nobody.

Nah fam, Hogan was already well established in WCW by that time, having been so facey in WCW to the point of Cena status, fans were beginning to boo him.

No one thought "Oh wait Hogan came here 2 years ago from WWF just to fukk us?" The shock was just purely a die-hard good guy turned bad and sided with Outsiders.

We never got to see a vocal heel Sting until TNA days, but I guess it would have been like Wolfpac Sting. Still, given his status at the time (even tho he was getting the WCW golden boy tag at that time), it's still not even half of the shock value of the great Hulk Hogan turning heel for first time. He was kind of cringy in the beginning of nWo, but he grew into it and pulled it off adequately for the most part. I definitely think Hogan did a better job of playing the "hollywood" sellout than Sting would have at that time.

The fact that there's grown men passionately typing their anti kliq feelings in here, 20 years after the fact, is why the kliq dvd makes sense. Bontroversy breates ba$h

Yes. The fact that WWE is actually acknowledging the amount of stanning of the Kliq on the internet, the fact they are actually calling the dvd the Kliq, lol. It's like "Wow they are trying so hard", but it's what 90 percent of the die hard fans love, so :yeshrug:

They're a crew of a$$holes and drug addicts who can't draw. What I find more pathetic is a bunch of people kissing their asses acting like they're royalty. The WWE will make DVDs for anyone and anything.

WWE Reportedly Cancels Kliq Reunion Special, DVD And Blu-ray Still Being Released

We noted before that WWE will be releasing "The Kliq Rules" DVD and Blu-ray on Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Scott Hall,Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman on July 28th. The set was originally planned to include a reunion show that would first air on the WWE Network. That special has been canceled, according toWrestlingDVDNews.com, but the DVD is still going forward. It will include a documentary feature with a compilation of matches & segments but no reunion show.

Mani Mohtadi, who was the person that filmed the infamous Curtain Call incident at Madison Square Garden in 1996, revealed on Twitter that WWE interviewed him for the documentary portion of the set.
No Network special :why:Springer and Jackass draw more than the Kliq in 2015 :sadcam:
