UPDATE x 3: WWE is actively recruiting for the new season of Tough Enough, which airs on the USA Network starting in June. As previously reported, the company is looking for all different types of talent, including some with professional wrestling experience and some without.

Some of the talent that gets cast could be recognizable names in the wrestling business. One European wrestler was asked to tryout initially for WWE, but was later told that they wanted him to try out for Tough Enough instead. One indy wrestler–unnamed so far–has been told he’s “pretty much promised” a spot on the show.

WWE has been working with some big casting companies, who have done work for reality shows in the past. One of the companies is recruiting college and pro sports athlete
If im a wrestler that serious about my craft, no way in hell i choose to do Tough Enough over one of non televised tryouts. shyt is just a ratings spectacle

I dunno, it does put your face out there and even if it leads to nothing in the WWE, might draw attention from the big indie companies. But there's no reason for anyone already in one of those (ROH, NJPW, etc.) to go for this.

WWE will be airing the upcoming season of Tough Enough on YouTube, but it may be blocked for countries that get the show on local TV.

WWE announced on Friday that they would air the show on Periscope as well as in the US, OSN Sports 2 HD in the Middle East and North Africa, Ten Sports in the Indian subcontinent, Cielo in Italy and YouTube "around the rest of the world."

Due to YouTube's geo-blocking technology, the company will air the show for fans around the world while blocking it for fans whose country airs the show on TV.

Just got done watching the first show on the network and now looking forward to the series starting. I'm shocked that only 11,000 people applied considering it was all over social media and pretty much everyone has a smart phone with the ability to record videos and submit online. I would of expected the number to be in the 100's of thousands considering the amount of fame-hungry people there are out there these days. Wish I'd applied lol.

AND to add to all that, the majority of those that they picked for the final tryouts knew fukk all about wrestling and WWE :dead: Dude stood infront of the judges (Booker T, Lita, Billy Gunn) and the producers and said he didn't even know what WWE was :snoop: :deadmanny:

To make things even worse they had these two dudes that were twins that MADE IT THROUGH to the main show and then pulled out like 'we seen and heard enough, this ain't for us' :whoah: :deadrose: This first episode did fukk all to make you feel like this competition was worth winning - all you had was semi-pro/ex MMA fighters, footballers, boxers, fitness models and bodybuilders who had no idea where they were :bryan: After watching this tryout, it felt that they were STRUGLLING to fill the show which seemed ridiculous.

Only one guy stood out as a potential winner that actually has a strong interest for the business and has a great physique and athletic ability who was the 19 year old lad. Saw a lot in him. Loved ZZ too - dude is just crackers and will provide some entertainment so glad he got pulled back in.

Chris Jericho popping up too cracked me up. He's making sure his diaries all booked up so he ain't gotta go on no fishing trips with little Jimmy :russ:
