With Rollins/Reigns and Cena/Styles coming up at Money in the Bank, what's up with WWE's hotshotting of big draw matches??? :what: Sure i want to see these sooner than later, but i'd enjoy actual building of tension and a stroyline around the matches to get the proper payoff. Can't just expect to do the same old shyt with 3 months worth of the same matches to blow off feuds. With PPV #s not mattering as much, why rush stories when u have a your own network? I dont get it.

They treat MITB as one of the top shows now so they needed some big matches. Roman/Rollins makes sense even though it's booked wrong and Cena/Styles is a dream match draw but no way they would let AJ be a babyface against Cena. If they explain that Styles was tired of losing and wants to be the top guy like he was in Japan it could work. Reigns/Rollins is a lost cause to me at this point though.

MITB is always treated as a bigger show than the normal B shows, but in general, the concept of "big money matches" doesn't really exist anymore with the advent of the Network. PPVs almost always sell out months in advance before matches are even announced, and WWE actively tells people NOT to buy the PPVs and sign up for the Network instead. They've got their set amount of subs and it really don't matter what they put on the PPVs because the same amount of people are going to be watching.

Survivor Series hasn't been a big 4 or significant since like...the 90s. It was falling off by 1991. Once there were actually 4, it was at the bottom immediately, and then most IYH shows seemed like a bigger deal than Survivor Series.

^^^Survivor Series is an enjoyable show concept still, but if we're bein' real, there's rarely been a good SS event for a loooonnnng ass time. And I mean like, '93 or '94. Survivor Series style matches or not, I've never been driven to revisit most of those shows. The first 4 are gold like a MF, almost all the others are take or leave.

There was usually one match to keep the shows from being a complete waste from 1991 on, but not always. Bret was the star of the show in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, and 1996 and they'd be overall dogshyt shows without him. 1997-1999 were bad all around. 2000 was solid, 2001 was limp just like the Invasion, 2002-2003 had some good stuff, and after that there are a handful of decent matches surrounded in pools of shyt.

I can't even remember a SS tag from after Orton's couple of years in a row of being the MVP of his team up to the shockingly great 2014 main event. So like...10 years of :yeshrug:

How are they rushing reigns And Rollins ? That was the feud he left off on . And the cena AJ feud has to play out before you say anything . WWE is also based around the network now too so their goal is to make every show a reason to buy the network
