MS has always fucced up bc though, it was trash on the 360 too, only Sony has done it perfectly and at launch. PSOne games ran flawlessly and looked better on PS2 PS2 games ran flawlessly on launch PS3's

Sony needed to bring the price of the PS3 down so they started stripping the parts inside. The OG PS3 had backwards compatibility because it had a PS2 inside as well.
Microsoft had to pay nvidia a licensing fee for backwards compatibility (which is why their hard drives were expensive)

No only a certain only of Xbox Original games ran on the 360, but when they did they ran smoothly. I had a 360 and a couple of Xbox Original games. They ran smoothly. But I admit certain games could not be run the 360 like my True Crime: New York City which I had for Xbox Original.
And why the heck are you bringing up PS1 games on PS2? The hardware wasn't even as complex back then. And it was only for the older models where you can play PS2 games on the PS3.
