Don't put your real card on there though. They will charge you the difference as soon as you slip.

Anybody having trouble downloading any games? Metro, Void b*stards, and Wolfenstein 2 not working for me. Went to their support site and it seems there’s a lot of people experiencing the same thing.
I had several issues getting this shyt to work:

-had to find the right version of Windows. idk why they can't just point you to the right version from the Game Pass page. do they want people to use this shyt or not? I had the June update, but apparently needed a version from May :what:. shyt is confusing...

-got the right version of Windows (a major update that had to restart a bunch of times), and installed the Xbox beta. signed up for Game Pass, and started downloading a game (Tyranny). had some issues getting it to install to a drive with space, but I figured that out. it downloads the whole game, but then I get an error at the end :snoop:

-searched around for the error code. turns out I still had a pending Windows update waiting for some 'Framework' shyt (this could be your issue). this fixed the issue, and luckily the game data was still there, so I didn't have to download it again

-start up the game, and I got no sound :snoop:. the Windows update broke my sound card's driver :snoop:. this has been an ongoing issue for me with Win10 updates, because my 2010ish Creative Sound Blaster card is considered EOL, and doesn't get proper support anymore. I search around for drivers, and go through three before I find one that works. the working driver comes from Creative, but I had to find it via links from forums. why do they hide this shyt? :why:

anyway, everything working now. and the new sound card driver fixed an issue I had with Forza Horizon 4, so some good came out of all that

manually check for Windows updates, and see if you have anything pending

Biggest thing I had issues with was not being able to update windows 10...

It wants the latest "beta" version.

I had to disable my anti virus update and then install...

It's not a small update either.

But everything runs smooth and great now.

The stupid shyt is I actually got metro running one day. The next day I try to play and it’s not loading up for some reason, so I :manny: restart pc and it’s still not launching. :francis: fukk it uninstall everything Xbox related metro included. Restart pc and reinstall all the Xbox beta shyt and now I can’t download anything that has administrator approval label on it. All Xbox 1st party games work fine, but everything else is fukking up. Did everything you did on the 9th, it’s the 16th now I can’t get the shyt to work. I pretty much gave up on it. Hopefully they’ll fix by the end of next week.

update 2: installed prey and metro exodus. metro keeps freezing at the title screen and prey won't launch at all. uninstall metro and restarted pc, now i can't install certain games from the store again. lol this launch is garbage. every time microsoft tries their hand at pc gaming, it ends up a clusterfukk. the microsoft pc gaming related thing that actually worked was that msn shyt in the early 2000s. i understand it's a beta and literally cost a $1 but come on man :Dapperscust:

FYI as of today gamepass PC is out of Beta and the price doubles to 9.99 on your next renewal

With EA Play I'm still good with $10 since I used to have Origin Premier and this has most of what I used that for. That's my limit tho :hubie:
