M$ is trying to get rid of their excess inventory.
Xbox had SOME availability issues during COVID but not nearly as bad as PS5. If someone wanted to upgrade from Xbox One to Series X, they've already done it.
They're going to have to define what "success" looks like to them BEFORE the new generation starts and then try to hit those goals. We know Sony wants the biggest user base and the best exclusives.
