If you're still looking to get one, it makes sense just to get the upcoming "Series S" which will be in similar price for a console much more powerful

The series s is more capable but not powerful. The series s for instance does not target 4k, the one x does and will continue to do so.

Not likely because they not gonna force everyone to buy gamepass if you want online multiplayer. Gtfoh, they can't do that and expect ppl to be cool with it. And they not in a position to piss off ppl so im confident there's no chance what you're saying is true...
