Xbox One Operating System is Sluggish and Slow; Microsoft Needs to Release More Software Stability Updates
There is apparently no wrong in saying that Microsoft’s Xbox One console is fairly getting better and more neat now. The company has taken several meaningful turns in past months such as deciding to announce a Kinect-less Xbox One bundle that allows you to safe $100, and the result is that the console’s sales have seen a considerable boost. Unlike Sony, Microsoft is very frequent with releasing system updates for the Xbox One that add new features to the console, but even while it happens, it appears that Microsoft always forgets to add some fixes and tweaks for the console’s operating system, which is reported by many users to be fairly slow and sluggish.

Users Complain About Slow and Sluggish Xbox One Operating System; Demand Software Stability Updates
Both Sony and Microsoft are taking good care of their respective latest PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles by frequently releasing system/firmware updates that keep the consoles in shape. Microsoft’s system updates are considered to be much better because they add new features to the console compared to Sony’s firmware updates that mostly only stabilize the software. However, now it looks like that Microsoft also needs more updates that specifically speed up the software of it latest console and accelerate the operating system, as this is what many users want.

Following a post made by a Reddit user called RameezTheElite, many Xbox One users have started to complain about the console’s operating system. According to users, the UI of the console works fine at times, but at others, it becomes very sluggish, slow and unresponsive. Compared to Xbox 360, the operating system of the latest console is not something that everyone is delighted with. RameezTheEite has also pointed out and posted the issue at official Xbox Feedback website, demanding a fix through monthly updates.

Microsoft is doing a great job by adding new features to the Xbox One by releasing new system updates, but just like Sony, the American-based platform holder also needs to release more stability updates for its console’s UI and operating system, improving overall user experience.

DX12 Won’t Change Xbox One’s 1080p Issue, But Devs Will Be Able To Push More Triangles: Witcher 3 Dev

Continuing our month long coverage of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, GamingBolt asked the game’s lead engine programmer Balazs Torok about his thoughts on the upcoming DirectX 12 and whether it will have an effect on the games development scene on the PC and Xbox One, specially the latter for the 1080p issue.

“I think there is a lot of confusion around what and why DX12 will improve. Most games out there can’t go 1080p because the additional load on the shading units would be too much. For all these games DX12 is not going to change anything,” Balazs explains. However he thinks that DX12 may allow to push more triangles but again developers won’t be able to shade them.

“They might be able to push more triangles to the GPU but they are not going to be able to shade them, which defeats the purpose. To answer the first question, I think we will see a change in the way graphics programmers will think about their pipelines and this will result in much better systems hopefully.”

GamingBolt thinks that this may be an architecture level issue, similar to what we had during the PlayStation 3 era. However it is important to note that things are getting better with the latest June SDK update which has allowed games like Destiny to hit 1080p. But whether this was achieved with reduced effects and texture quality is an all together different topic.

Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is due for release in February and will only release on current generation consoles and gaming PCs. For more on the game check out our hub page here.

Sony shares: Japanese draw in Germany with the PS4 Microsoft's Xbox One of them

Microsoft sold this country out of its new Xbox One since its launch last November, well 170,000 units. From Sony's PS4 went in the comparable period of around 540,000 over three times as many units over the counter as of the Xbox One. For comparison: From the PS3 had Sony been sold in Germany a total of around 4.2 million units, twice as many as 360 of its Microsoft Xbox

Even worldwide, Sony has with the PS4 so far in the lead. Overall, the Japanese have for 30.6. with worldwide sales of around 8.5 million units of its new Daddelstation. Microsoft managed in the same period just 4.9 million. However, the Xbox One in fewer countries than was available at the start than the PS4. In addition, the Xbox One was including the motion controller Kinect to start with around 500 euros 100 euros on the PS4, which went on sale without motion control.

Besides the price, observers attribute the so far disappointing sales of the Xbox One also due to domestic problems. So Microsoft had originally planned his movement control around the clock in the standby mode. This had triggered fears of a possible monitoring for potential customers. In addition, Microsoft had originally planned a daily authentication of users.

From the false start, Microsoft has taken the consequences. Meanwhile, there is the Xbox One for the price of 399 euros even without Kinect. Other controversial plans like the proposed authentication or Kinect standby mode, the Group has scrapped sheepishly back already before the worldwide launch.

For software sales in Germany industry leader Electronic Arts (EA) has defended its top position in the first half. Across all platforms, the Californians came to a market share of 16.7% against Nintendo with 13.2 percent. Ranked 3 Ubisoft stood at 13.1 percent. The French improved over the previous year to a place. Owes its success to Europe's largest video games suppliers, especially his new adventure game watchdogs. Launched in spring new series was with revenues of around 18 million euros at the same time the top-selling game in Germany.

@Liquid @cook why are we allowing this clown to spam the arcadium with this console war nonsense? Can't we put all this nikka's threads into a "Console War BS" thread?

Would you shut the fukk up idiot. So am i to assume "supposed gains by Sony" are somehow in your favour? Why are you so invested in this? Do you own stock in the company? Does you work for Sony? Do any of your family members work for Sony? If you can't answer yes to any of those questions, consider reevaluating your pathetic life. There is no reason anyone should be this concerned about sales for a company he/she has no financial investment it.

Perhaps if you put as much effort into getting money as you do in cheerleading for sony you wouldn't be such a bum ass nikka.

But bumassery is something you nikkas tend to be proud of, so carry on nikka.
