Perhaps I was wrong. There’s always people in the Xbox subreddit complaining that their controllers developed drift, tho.

The original elite controller was infamously fragile. I dont know about the regular xbox controller or the updated elite controller durability, but they did have problems with the side buttons breaking very easily.
