Xbox's deal with NFL is more devious than we could have ever imagined (in a good way)

 @ Court thinking he getting full blown Sunday Ticket for 40 bucks. :snoop:

So in your mind, what can I expect from this offer? I already preordered the anniversary addition and I'm a ps3 owner. oh and I don't mind just straight up watching on my laptop, or my tv through hdmi.

What you get is Sunday Ticket through your laptop (Sunday Ticket Max essentially). If you have a laptop with an HDMI out, you can watch through your TV. Of course the image quality takes a hit, but you can't beat Sunday Ticket for 40 bucks.

With me being a current Sunday Ticket subscriber, I usually have to pay extra for Sunday Ticket max in addtion to the regular sunday ticket price. I was able to weasel them into giving me both for free last year. With the PS3 app and being a Sunday Ticket customer, you have to had had Sunday Ticket Max in order to use the app on the PS3. If you are not a DTV customer, you'd have to pay the price of Sunday Ticket and Max essentially to use the PS3 app (roughly 350$). It was a great alternative for those who wanted Sunday Ticket, but didn't have DTV.

With the Madden offer, you get the PC access, but not the PS3 app access because the PS3 app is full blown Sunday Ticket as described above which is why it's blocked. DTV won't shyt themselves out of money like that.

But the "workaround" with the Madden code Sunday Ticket Max is that you can eat good if you have a laptop with an HDMI out. If I can get DTV to give me Sunday Ticket Max again this year for free (Doubt they give me Sunday Ticket again free), I'll sell my code for Max.

If you buy the anniversary edition of Madden this year for 100 bucks, you get Sunday Ticket Max which is Sunday Ticket PC access (usable on tablets, phones as well). It does not cover the PS4 App which is full blown Sunday Ticket just like the TV subscription. With the TV subscription you have to pay extra for Sunday ticket max (usually 99 dollars) in addition to the 2 to 3 hundred you pay for regular sunday ticket (non HD). You have to pay for max to get the games in HD and the PC access which the Madden anniversary gets you access too.

So with me being a sunday ticket subscriber, I can pay for "basic" sunday ticket and use the max code to access the PS4 app and get my TV games in HD since I'm already a Sunday Ticket subscriber. DTV treats the PS3 as a "pc" so in order for me to access Sunday Ticket on it, I have to pay for Sunday Ticket Max.
Yeah I get this but how it this somehow a loss for ps3/4 owners?

This nikka talking about a sunday ticket deal with microsoft and how this will work on 360 and the one (which is more than enough reason for me to cop the xbox one, reason I entered this thread) and I dont see where it say any fukking thing about xbox

Unless DTV authorizes an app on the Xbox, it's :duck: as usual with Court.

DTV pays the NFL for Sunday Ticket rights.

It's not a loss to anyone with a PS3 since you are getting the PC/tablet access with the Max code. Like I said, ANYONE with an HDMI out on their laptop or tablet can eat good off this. But it's only for the anniversary edition which EA is only pressing 50K of.

Whats funny/sad is how you guys have teamed up to cry in a group. I hear ya, you don't think its possible because of this/that. Yeah, wonderful
But why remove logic? You say one thing, I show you how you wrong. You deflect what I said because you upset :patrice: Ok, let me show you what I mean...

So there is this man who cares so much about this fine community tell you all how "court" is thinking he's getting the "full blown sunday ticket for 40bucks"
So after that whimper, he returns with this...
What you get is Sunday Ticket through your laptop (Sunday Ticket Max essentially). If you have a laptop with an HDMI out, you can watch through your TV. Of course the image quality takes a hit, but you can't beat Sunday Ticket for 40 bucks.
:wow: Sorry, I can't operate like that at all times. I can't even tell you joking, you not. You just flat out envious bruh. Stop that. Here's the actual rules you keep not reading. You should stop posting now...
The "unable to get DirecTV service" thing is just a fig leaf that allows DirecTV to put out this service, and then let you figure out how to exploit it. You self-select whether or not you have DirecTV access. Protip: Say you do not. Really, how is it going to know? It doesn't matter if there's a contractor in the area to connect you. Maybe you have a landlord that won't allow you to mount a dish to the house you rent.

This is how it works when you use the Sunday Ticket app on the PlayStation Network (note: This offer does not give you access to the PS3's app.) Sunday Ticket on a mobile device is otherwise only possible if you sign up for the deluxe "Sunday Ticket Max" package, which requires a DirecTV subscription. This is a code that essentially breaks off that feature and gives it to you for $40 above Madden's cost.
I can't make it any more clearer to you. You can look around this over and over again. Doesn't make it then disappear fanboys :umad: Now this bullshyt about "You not getting the full sunday ticket" which my links say you do. Lets show that part off so there is no more confusion...
Madden‘s TV Offer is the Deal That Dares Not Speak Its Name
I asked Stevenson if I could use this code to watch Sunday Ticket on my iPad even if I had no intention of signing up with DirecTV.

"There is a unique code in every single anniversary edition, and that code will entitle you to the 17-week full-season trial on PC, tablets and mobile devices,"
Full 17 week season eh :gladbron: So WTF is Rekka talking about? Not the full sunday ticket? This is EA talking about the deal themselves and Rekka tells you its not that? He been saying a whole bunch of butthurt shyt all thread that has been proven false. Lets believe a single word he or starclout or king sun has said :blessed: That link above goes into DETAIL about all the bullshyt Rekka keeps crying about. So don't sweat it Rec-Roomers!!!
For shyts n giggles, lets look at the rest of this nikkaz fury...

So now he's trying to make it seem like paying all that bread was a good deal unlike this one which he has been trying to bash? All because its not compatible with the PS3 app :bryan: Ok, lets keep it going...
rekkacries said:

Once again, my link goes into this. The first link I posted talked about how DirectTV is fine with this deal because if you like sunday ticket you are more likely to want DirectTV after the trial. Thats called business. And I backed up what I'm saying. So why is this fool still saying otherwise?
Rekkacried said:

You forgot to mention how HDMI out would degrade the image :laff: Cuz you know, HDMI can't handle the resolution that NFL games are broadcasted in :childplease:
Now anyone who hasn't seen any of my links can come to the exact same conclusions Rekka has, right? So why is he acting like those links are not all thruout this thread for him to read? When fanboyism goes too far???
Now if we can get back to the thread's subject. I'll show you all how we about to eat...

YES IT IS. Here's why as posted in the very first post of this thread
Xbox One is powered by Windows, but can Microsoft make you care? | The Verge

Since the Xbox One is built on a windows kernel its a "computer" unlike its competition. Since its a computer, it falls under the "PC/Tablet/Cell Phone"
Rekkacried even said last year the PS3 was able to use its app because it was considered a PC. Key was is WAS, cuz this year they stopped all that.
But the Xbox One is a PC, and it wont need an app. It has a web browser that works smoother than a PC does already. You don't have to believe me/kotaku/your damn eyes.

Just keep listening to Rekkacried if you don't wanna eat this fall

Oh I see, this wont work for you until you see them advertising that you can watch NFL games via Xbox right?

Show me where they ADVERTISE watching NFL anywhere online :patrice:
The articles go into all of that. Break it down why its not pushed that way :snoop:
They got BILLION dollar deals with network TV (Fox, CBS) so they can't openly promote not watching it that way or it steps on toes bruh. Here's that part for you since you didn't read either.

Last week, Madden NFL 25 announced an "Anniversary Edition" that at first didn't seem like it had much to offer. Then word started to circulate in an officially unofficial way that a promo code could be used to watch DirecTV's Sunday Ticket NFL broadcast on a PC, with or without signing up with the satellite provider.

Well, this being Madden, this being big bad Electronic Arts and, more relevantly, this being the NFL and its less-than-consumer-friendly TV policies, few believed it. After all, the official news release doesn't straight up say this is how you can use the offer, which seems to be more about giving a discount toward a DirecTV subscription. The code, which gives Sunday Ticket access on PC, tablet or mobile phone, is referred to more or less as an alternative for those who cannot receive DirecTV service. Considering DirecTV has 35 million subscribers, there would seem to be few in America who can't get it, but it's true in the case of dorm rooms and some apartment buildings where you can't mount a dish.

So, through the past week word spread that this was going to be a screwjob. You'd buy a hundred-dollar Madden and be unable to use the thing you really wanted because DirecTV would know, by zipcode or IP address or whatever, that its service was available to you.

I'm not ordinarily in the business of policing special edition offers but this one, being enticing to me on a personal level (I have no cable or satellite TV but watch a ton of sports over the Internet), was interesting enough I went to the man putting his name on this unofficially official offer: Anthony Stevenson, Madden's top marketer.

I asked Stevenson if I could use this code to watch Sunday Ticket on my iPad even if I had no intention of signing up with DirecTV.

"There is a unique code in every single anniversary edition, and that code will entitle you to the 17-week full-season trial on PC, tablets and mobile devices," Stevenson said, and I started grinding my teeth.

Why can't we get a simple yes or no?

"We absolutely understand there is some confusion with the language, and how it is written," he said. "To bring this great deal to life—it's very complex and complicated, involving the NFL and its television partners, and DirecTV. The reason is because everyone's interests have to be protected and this has to be written in a certain way."

There's a lot of reading between the lines here. So I'll say what Stevenson could not above: Sunday Ticket is not a thing greatly loved by networks that have paid billions-with-a-b to broadcast Sunday afternoon games. To straight-up invite people to ditch a television set altogether and watch this stuff online, while it may be within the terms of DirecTV's deal with the NFL, is a provocation to its biggest licensing partners. Hence the unofficially-official offer
, and the heavily lawyered wording of the news release and the line Stevenson must toe.

The Xbox One being a PC, yeah, it has 3 operating systems in one. So it can't be denied as a PC (Tru Story) I don't care if you don't understand that. Thats what it is. YOu wanna go "I can't see/hear/believe until they slap it in my face like you do PS4" then thats your choice. Your choice will not stop us from eating this fall.

As for you being a fanboy, this is why. Its like a racist cop. You in cahoots with the other racist. You believed everything Rekka has said. Then I show you how he's lying and you still side with him. So shut the hell up and eat bytch :win:

Now nikkas that like sony are racist? This is your proof that im a fanboy?

That quote you posted still doesnt mention xbox at all :heh:

The thread is about microsofts deal with the nfl and thats false advertising my friend
:heh:

Rekka said it was a deal on the sunday ticket app, which is true

You however are trying to convince nikkas that this is an exclusive deal between microsoft and the nfl to bring sunday ticket to xbox for cheap, which is a flat out lie

Is that what I said? I didn't say nikkaz that like sony is racist either. You really need to step up that reading comprehension bruh
Look at the thread title again, where does it say this is xbox only deal. You can use it on PC/tablet/phone. Been echoed thruout this entire thread.

Now rekka keeps trying to make it seem like you don't get the full shyt, but you do. I proven that. You keep playing dumb cuz your a bitter fakkit. I'm not being nice to you anymore. fukk outta hurr :heh:

The Xbox ONe is a fukking computer, you lack reading comprehension so that should go in one ear and out the other. Doesn't make this deal go away. I just wish you guys would stop being lame about this. Like I haven't sonned you fakkits all thread, like you nikkaz don't come up with excuse after excuse that I shown was false? Nah, you not biased. Your pro-fakkitry

This nikka even said "Nah, Rekka said its a deal on sunday ticket app which is true"
:mindblown:
Only thing that is true is how :umad:
Even on PS3 you could use the web browser (but its browser won't work cuz its bootleg)
On PC it works, Xbox browser works as well. Xbox One browser will not only be more advanced than Xbox 360's, its actually on a windows kernel aka its a PC

Reading comprehension should either kick in or fail you from this point moving forward. I will not spend another second explaining this to you again. I'll be eating Steak n Lobster this fall, your welcome to join us :blessed:
